Entry Requirement for the Phlebotomy Technician Studies programme:

1, Minimum of 3 CXC/CSEC subjects, Grades I, II, III or IV  (Includes Mathematics, English A and one (1) other subject

OR 

2. Foundation Diploma in Academic Essentials (English Essentials, Math Essentials & Human Biology Essentials) OR other equivalent qualifications with Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE) or Guyana Technical Institute (GTI).

Registration Fee including Textbooks $15,000 – Non-Refundable
Tuition Fee: Package Fee $110,000 or Part 1 or 2 Fee- $60,000

*Payment plans available with minimum of $25,000 as the start fee

*AMT/RPT International Examination Fee: US$125 or GY $28,000

The Phlebotomy Technician Programme  prepares students for the U.S American Medical Technologists (AMT) Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) examination. It also includes 80 hours of work-study at a medical laboratory.

Registration, Examinations & Fee Payment Policies

1. Payment of tuition fees for the package or Part 1 or 2 must be paid within 4 to 6 weeks. A minimum down payment of $25,000 must be
     paid towards the tuition fee to start part 1 or part 2.

2. Registration and textbook fees are non-refundable. Part fees are non-refundable once a part is started, otherwise, a 10% processing
    fee is charged.

3. If a programme is not completed by the programme completion deadline, a non-refundable re-registration fee of
     $10,000 must be paid to maintain registration status.

4. Internal Examinations are free of charge for two attempt. Thereafter, an examination re-sit fee of $5,000 must be paid for each
    re-sit to a maximum of two (2) additional re-sits.

5. A diploma is awarded for completion of the programme.
